Thunderbirds Run Past Jacks to Advance to 2nd Straight Region XIII Championship Game

United Tribes jumped out to 40-20 lead on the visiting Lumberjacks of Dakota College Bottineau and went on to win 98-83 to advance to the Region XIII Championship game for the second season in row.  

Cecelio Montgomery knocked down 7 three pointers on his way to game high 27 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.  Nick Jiles scored 23 and had 5 steals.  Also reaching double figures were Tate Bear with 18 and Tyree Florence-Patton with 17 points and 7 rebounds.

United Tribes advances to their 2nd straight Region XIII Championship and 3rd in the last 4 years.  The Thunderbirds will be seeking thier first region championship since 2002.

Sundays matchup at the Thunderdome on the campus of United Tribes will be a rematch of last years championship game which was won by Dakota County Technical College in overtime.  Tip off is at 2pm.
