The Mon-Dak men's basketball player of the week for January 27th-February 2nd is Tate Bear a 6'5" freshman forward from United Tribes Technical College.  During a 1-1 week for the Thunderbirds he scored 53 points (shooting 59% from the field), had 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.  

On the year Bear is averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds a game for the 14-9 Thunderbirds.  Tate is from Tama, Iowa and he attended Meskwaki Settlement School.
